Comprehensive Program

Our Comprehensive Program Structure

The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® Comprehensive Program is designed to give participants a thorough understanding of the complete Fletcher lineage of the Pilates method and to instill an understanding of how to teach this work to others. The full range of Pilates apparatus and matwork is incorporated, as well as the signature Fletcher Floorwork®, Fletcher Towelwork®, Spine Corrector and Percussive Breath™ technique.

Preparing to Enter the Program

Prerequisite Hours
Because it is essential that participants learn and know the Fletcher Pilates™ technique in their own bodies before attempting to learn to teach this work to others, students are required to complete at least 30 private and / or semi-private sessions, and 50 group class, seminar or workshop hours with a Qualified Fletcher Teacher, Facilitator or Faculty member before entering the Comprehensive Program of Study. The Fletcher Pilates™ Program Overview (described below) may count towards 36 of the required group class hours. The full prerequisite student process generally takes three to six months..

The Fletcher Pilates™ Program Overview
Our Program Overview is an optional preparatory course designed to give students an experiential overview of the Comprehensive Program, from the student point of view. Based on Ron Fletcher’s philosophy of “knowing movement in the body,” the Overview encourages experiencing each piece of movement before learning to teach it. Structured as a 30-hour program, generally taught in 3 or 6-hour sessions, this Program is the most efficient and affordable means of reviewing the beginning / intermediate Fletcher Pilates™ syllabus.

The Program Overview is taught by our Fletcher Facilitators and Faculty who mentor and prepare students to enter the Comprehensive Program of Study — from application through completion. Please visit the Program Facilitator and Program Faculty pages to view a current list of Facilitators and Faculty.

If you do not live near a Fletcher Facilitator or Faculty member, you may prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program by studying with any of our Qualified Fletcher Teachers. If you have any questions about how to prepare to enter the Program of Study, please contact the Ron Fletcher Company (1-888-RFC-8884) and we will discuss your options.

Program FAQs

How do I prepare to enter the Comprehensive Program?

It is essential to go through a student process to learn the work in your own body before entering a process to learn to teach this technique to others.
